CERTIFICATE IN ENGLISH COMMUNICATION (Upper Intermediate Level)
A number of different kinds of activities focus on speaking skills in the course: Conversations, pair work, role plays, group work, and whole class activities, including the Interchange Activities.

This course provides students to communicate with a wide range of information and introduce topics to attain variety of purposes. They interact effectively, adopting various language strategies in reading, speaking, and writing and grammar skills to give confident in written and oral communication. It also provides ample opportunities to listen to instructions and share ideas with peers to complete the desired language tasks.
Students further read and view short literary and factual texts, using an increasing variety of skills and strategies including context, grammar, word usage and make connections between their own experiences and information in texts. Students also recognise structure and grammatical features and conventions of punctuations and correspondence.At the end of the course, the students will be able to:

use simple tenses and perfect tenses;
form nouns and gerunds;
discuss verb forms in the narrative and other continuous aspect in other tenses;
use and non use of articles, word combinations, modals and related verbs;
apply strategies for vocabulary learning e.g. context clue, word formation through suffixes & prefixes;

CERTIFICATE IN ENGLISH COMMUNICATION (Intermediate Level)

This course is designed to communicate with an increasing range of vocabulary and language skills for variety of purposes on both familiar and introduced topics in spontaneous and structured classroom activities; interacts in more extended ways with less teacher intervention, makes increasingly confident in written and oral presentations and generally listens attentively; read a wider range of text on less familiar topics with increasing independence of understanding, making connections between own knowledge, experience and information in texts.At the end of the course, the students will be able to:

use forms and tenses of verbs; adjectives, reported speeches and conjunctions;
listen to people talk about their past and personal information, descriptions advices and suggestions;
discuss and relate ideas from any sources of information given;
write an essay, formal letters and read other useful information for writing.
observe correct punctuation and stress and;
develop and gain confidence in all language tasks given.

CERTIFICATE IN ENGLISH COMMUNICATION (Pre-Intermediate Level)

This course is designed to increase students’ usage of vocabulary and tenses. They will learn to express using English expressions in dealing with everyday situations such as writing letters, recognising and correcting errors, listen to relevant information; talk about different sports and learning about different countries, cultures, travel and tourism and to hold a conversation with medium fluency.

At the end of the course, the students will be able to:

use forms and tenses of verbs; adjectives, adverbs and conjunctions;
listen and comprehend to selected passages or texts; games shows, information about countries and listen to telephone conversation;
discuss and relate ideas from any sources of information given;
write sentences , paragraphs with varied topics and read selected short passages;
observe correct punctuation and stress and
develop and gain confidence in all language task given.

CERTIFICATE IN ENGLISH COMMUNICATION (Introduction)

This course integrates all language skills necessary for effective communication. It provides students to express basic ideas clearly, demonstrate how to use basic written and spoken language for different purposes.At the end of the course, the students will be able to:

recognise and use present, past simple, future simple tenses; articles, adjectives, pronouns and nouns;
use basic vocabulary in phrases and sentences;
listen and comprehend to selected passages or texts;
discuss and relate ideas from any sources of information given;
write sentences , paragraphs with varied topics and read selected short passages;
observe correct punctuation and stress and;
develop and gain confidence in all language tasks given.
